The RM Young Electronic Compass 32500-56 CI 2299 was deployed on 2017-08-15 on Tsawwassen - Swartz Bay Ferry Route. This ferry route goes between Tsawwassen terminal in Vancouver, BC and the Swartz Bay terminal, Victoria BC. This device is a Orientation Instrument. Orientation instruments are used on ships, ROVs and instrument packages to record variables like heading, pitch and roll. It was deployed on a mobile platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
