## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from the Queensland Groundwater Database (GWDB) dataset (GUID: 286fdbc0-4786-476d-836f-cba8773ec263). You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.\n\n\n\nThis point shapefile dataset includes only those groundwater monitoring bores completed in aquifers of the Great Artesian Basin, as supplied by Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines 2008.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nSpatial representation of tabular bore data presented by QLD DNRM.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nData supplied as an excel spreadsheet by the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines in 2008. Point shapefile was derived from the original spreadsheet based on coordinate attributes.\n\n\n\nQueensland groundwater monitoring data, both water level and water quality, is stored within the Groundwater Database (GWDB) system. The new system is based on web technology and is available through the department's intranet. Allocation and use data is obtained through the Water Entitlements Registration Database (WERD) which is an electronic database for water license details.
