Dataset: Triacylglycerol composition of 27 cold-pressed cactus seed oils from the Moroccan market

The triacylglycerol (TAG) composition of 27 cold-pressed cactus seed oils (CO) from various Moroccan locations and extraction periods was analyzed using gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC-FID). The objective was to provide an overview of the TAG profile of Moroccan CO. The fatty acids in CO, mainly linoleic (Li), oleic (Ol), and palmitic (Pa), form the primary building blocks of the most abundant TAGs, which include LiLiLi, PaLiLi, LiLiOl, and PaLiOl. The relative proportions of these TAGs were found to be within the following ranges: LiLiLi (18.5–27.0%), PaLiLi (20.1–27.5%), LiLiOl (14.2–17.4%), and PaLiOl (10.2–12.6%). The findings provide valuable insights into the TAG composition of Moroccan cactus seed oil and serve as a foundation for further exploration and interpretation.
