资源简介:
In this study, we applied collated data on gut microbiome, feeding preference (measured using stable isotopes of carbon and nitrogen) and four immune markers from vampire bats captured in 11 caves located in either undisturbed or disturbed (cattle farming in the surrounding) forest sites across Costa Rica. We aimed at investigating the extent to which gut microbiome composition is associated with feeding preference or cave location and explored links with four immune markers. The hypervariable V4 Region of bacterial 16S rRNA was amplified using the paired primers 515F/806R. Paired end sequencing of the amplicons was performed with Illumina MiSeq technology over 2x250 cycles. The samples uploaded are already demultiplexed and include one extraction control and two PCR controls.
