The MAVBench dataset was developed by a research team at The University of Texas at Austin, with the objective of evaluating and optimizing the performance of micro air vehicles (MAVs) using both simulated and real-world application scenarios. The dataset encompasses five distinct application cases: scanning, aerial photography, package delivery, 3D mapping, and search and rescue. These cases cover the entire workflow from environmental perception, path planning to flight control, aiming to assist researchers and engineers in comprehending and optimizing the computational requirements and energy efficiency of MAVs. Through these scenarios, the MAVBench dataset can uncover the relationship between computational performance and the total system energy consumption of micro air vehicles, offering critical insights for the design and optimization of MAVs.
