Hulme's Gridded Global Land Precipitation Climatology

A historic monthly gridded precipitation dataset for global land areas. This dataset contains monthly preciptation from station rain gauges which have been averaged for geographic boxes for January, 1900 thru December, 1998. The data is available for both a 5 degree by 5 degree grid and a 2.5 degree latitude by 3.75 degree longitude grid, but values are only available over land.
