Mapping of natural and semi-natural habitats in France CarHab

CarHab is a national program that aims to produce a cartographic modeling of natural and semi-natural habitats of France at the scale of 1/25000e. It is carried out in close collaboration with the naturalist experts of the National Botanical Conservatories (CBN). The results of CarHab will help to fill the knowledge gaps on habitats and will support national and territorial public policies related to land use planning and knowledge of biodiversity. They will also better meet the Community commitments related to the Habitat-Wildlife-Flora Directive, in particular for the monitoring and assessment of the conservation status of habitats of Community interest.
