In this study, to uncorver the defence mechanisms of larval Ostrinia furnacalis under low and high temperature stress, we used simulated enviroment temperatures in hot summer and cold winter to treat larval O. furnacalis. The temperatures for treatment were 40℃ to simulate the field temperature in summer and 8℃ for the starting temperature of insect development.
