Searches for radio pulsations from Fermi sources have been astonishingly fruitful, both in discovering new pulsars and in probing the physics of high-energy emission. We propose observations of members of two promising Fermi source classes: (1) candidate enshrouded millisecond pulsars (2) new "blind search" gamma-ray pulsars. The former are fascinating systems in which the wind of an energetic recycled millisecond pulsar is disintegrating its companion; detecting pulsations turns them into laboratories for this process. The latter are pulsars recently discovered in computational tour de force trawls of the Fermi data. Radio pulsations greatly add to the information we can obtain; conversely, deep upper limits constrain emission models.
针对费米(Fermi)伽马射线源的射电脉冲搜索成效卓著,既成功发现了新的脉冲星,又为高能辐射物理研究提供了关键观测探针。我们提议对两类极具研究价值的费米源类别开展观测:(1) 候选包裹型毫秒脉冲星(candidate enshrouded millisecond pulsars);(2) 新型"盲搜(blind search)"伽马射线脉冲星。前者是一类极具科研价值的天体系统:一颗高能再循环毫秒脉冲星的星风正在瓦解其伴星;一旦探测到其脉冲信号,这类系统将成为研究该物理过程的天然实验室。后者是近期通过极具计算挑战性的费米数据拖网检索发现的脉冲星。射电脉冲信号可极大丰富我们可获取的观测信息;反之,严格的辐射通量上限则能有效约束相关辐射模型。
