资源简介:
The M74 Traffic and Health Study (2005–2014) aimed to understand how changes in the urban environment, specifically the construction of the M74 motorway extension in Glasgow, influenced residents’ perceptions of their neighbourhoods, their travel behaviour, and their physical activity. In 2005, a postal survey of 1,322 adults across three areas of Glasgow established a baseline, which was later built upon through a follow-up survey in 2013. In 2014, selected participants wore accelerometers and GPS devices for a week to provide detailed data on movement patterns, and a smaller group took part in face-to-face interviews to explore experiences in depth. The study focused on travel patterns, physical activity, neighbourhood perceptions, wellbeing, and road traffic casualties. Funded by the National Institute for Health Research Public Health Research programme, the project was led by the MRC Epidemiology Unit in Cambridge under the UKCRC Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR), in collaboration with the MRC Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, the University of Glasgow, the University of East Anglia, the University of Edinburgh, and the Glasgow Centre for Population Health. This dataset is anonymised.
