资源简介:
The anonymized DukeCathR Educational dataset contains records on cardiac catheterization procedures performed on a subset of adult patients at Duke University Medical Center from 1985-2013 as part of standard clinical care. The dataset is an anonymized data extract from the Duke Databank For Cardiovascular Disease (DDCD) that has been intentionally modified such that any meaningful or publishable clinical interpretations are impossible. DukeCathR provides instructors and students exposure to the "real world" data for instructional analyses. The purpose for sharing this dataset is to provide instructors with a resource to help teach students how to approach statistical analyses using real patient data. Teachers, instructors, or students can request this dataset for educational purposes. The DDCD was created with the primary goal of collecting and monitoring data on patients in the cardiac care unit, and other patients receiving cardiac surgery or procedures. The DUKECATHR dataset includes information on patient demographics, clinical history, vital signs and physical exam findings prior to cardiac catheterization, laboratory results, catheterization results (stenosis in major coronary artery systems), and coronary interventions performed during catheterization. Patients with significant coronary artery disease were followed to ascertain subsequent events after discharge, including death, myocardial infarction, stroke, hospitalization, revascularization, and valve replacement/repair. Location of study sites: Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina, 27710, USA The dataset is restricted to patients with evidence of significant coronary artery disease and includes one record per catheterization procedure. Individual patients may have more than one record included if they have additional catheterization procedures after their first procedure with evidence of significant disease. Left heart catheterization procedures (typically used to diagnose and treat blockages in coronary arteries) and right heart catheterization procedures (typically used to determine pressures within the heart and lungs) are included. Some procedures involve both left and right heart catheterization. The purpose of a cardiac catheterization procedure may be diagnostic or interventional, and a single procedure may involve both diagnostic and interventional components. Variables derived from coronary angiograms are included in the dataset (e.g., levels of stenosis in major coronary artery systems), however the angiogram images are not included. Main Eligibility criteria: Data were collected on cardiac catheterization procedures performed as part of the standard of care. Inclusion criteria • Cardiac catheterization procedure (left and/or right heart procedures) performed at Duke University Medical Center • Patient age >= 18 years at procedure date • Procedure date between January 1985 and December 2013 • Evidence of significant coronary artery disease diagnosed at catheterization Exclusion criteria • None A non-uniform random sample of eligible patients was selected for inclusion in the DUKECATHR Educational dataset. Outcomes: · All-cause mortality: days from cardiac catheterization to death · Myocardial infarction: days from cardiac catheterization to first subsequent myocardial infarction · Stroke: days from cardiac catheterization to first subsequent stroke · Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI): days from cardiac catheterization to first subsequent PCI · Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery: days from cardiac catheterization to first subsequent CABG The Duke IRC will review requests and make the final decision on the sharing of this study package.
