Share of SMEs that had a loan application rejected in Greece 2009-2020

This statistic illustrates the share of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Greece that had a loan application rejected from 2009 to 2020. It can be seen that during the time period displayed the share of SMEs that had a loan application rejected generally decreased despite some fluctuation. The highest percentage of loan rejections to small and medium enterprises occurred in 2011 when the rejection rate was 33.8 percent. By 2019, the rate had fallen down to 11.4 percent.
