Impacts of Region Specific Microbiota During Microbial Transplants

The microbiota along the intestinal tract vary considerably in composition and function, particularly between the small and large bowel. Fecal Material Transplants (FMTs) is a clinically approved procedure of transplanting large bowel, colonic or fecal microbiota to restore the microbiome. This study aims to evaluate the region specific and systemic effects of the small and bowel microbiota during transplantation.
