Data for fitting a statistical global burned area model for seamless integration into Dynamic Global Vegetation Models

The dataset is a large R data.table object saved in RDS format. It contains global, monthly data spanning the period from 2002 to 2018, with a 0.5 degrees spatial resolution. The dataset is utilized to develop and validate statistical models for predicting global burnt areas resulting from wildfires.
