UV-B absorbing compound (UAC) data, measured by Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) microspectroscopy, for Nar Lake Pinus pollen, for each of five replicate measurements per sample. ‘Cal.yr.top’, ‘Cal.yr.btm’ and ‘Cal.yr.mid’ give the upper, lower and midpoint ages for each sample, ‘Aromatic’ is the height of the 1510 cm-1 aromatic peak, OH is the height of the 3300 cm-1 hydroxyl peak, and ‘UACs’ is the aromatic/OH ratio.
