The Oral Microbiome and Psychoneurological Symptoms in Breast Cancer

This dataset provides oral microbiome data, demographic data, clinical data, and Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System 29-Item Health Profile (PROMIS-29) symptom data on a group of individuals with breast cancer scheduled to receive a mastectomy. Microbiome data is from 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing of V4 region of oral tongue swabs. Metadata was collected through patient report and extraction of electronic medical records by qualified research coordinators. Study timepoints include baseline (prior to mastectomy), short term postoperative (5-45 days mastectomy), and long term follow-up (3-6 months post mastectomy). All data in this study is de-identified.
