Ad blocking software usage in Russia 2021, by device

The share of Russians who installed ad blocking software or used their browser's ad blocking function on their smartphone or tablet amounted to 30 percent in 2021, while 45 percent had it on their personal computer or laptop. Nearly one quarter of respondents planned to start using an ad blocker on their mobile devices.Russia had a lower demand for ad blocking software compared to several other European countries. In January 2021, 120 searches for ad blockers were recorded per 100 thousand internet users in Russia, compared to 579 in France and 306 in Hungary.
