Elemental Mapping and IBA Dataset for Deep-Sea Geological Samples

This release provides the complete Ion Beam Analysis (IBA) dataset supporting the characterisation of two deep-sea geological specimens: a polymetallic nodule and a hydrothermal chimney fragment from the Lucky Strike field, Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The dataset includes raw and GUPIXWin-fitted PIXE spectra, raw and NDF-fitted EBS spectra, and two-dimensional PIXE elemental maps, acquired at the Van de Graaff accelerator of the Laboratory of Accelerators and Radiation Technology (LATR), CTN-IST. Supplementary Python scripts are included to facilitate data visualisation and spatial mapping.
