The FDIM Simulation Intelligent Training Platform delivers immersive 3D operational experiences via VR glasses and infrared pens, enabling users to intuitively manipulate and rotate models for highly interactive and realistic medical education and training, thus helping medical students become familiar with the individualized anatomical structures of different patients. The core technologies of the platform encompass data 3D reconstruction and 3D imaging, with polarized 3D display technology as the primary solution. This technology projects distinct images to the left and right eyes via polarizing filters, allowing the human brain to perceive 3D depth, and boasts advantages such as minimized crosstalk, enhanced brightness and excellent compatibility. In its development workflow, engineers first upload de-identified DICOM-format 2D medical data to generate .STL-format 3D models; subsequently, the DICOM images and the generated 3D models are imported into AI-assisted medical image annotation software for manual reconstruction, followed by fine-tuning of the geometric anatomical structures through AI technologies. Ultimately, the models are rendered using naked-eye 3D devices.
