Selected regions CPR diatoms 2020_2022

Zip folder containing two Excel files containing CPR data for Western English Channel (2W to 7W, 48 to 51N) and southern North Sea (51 to 54N, 1E to 5/6E) 2000 to 2020
sample level data (each sample being 1 row, equating to approx. 10 nautical miles of tow, 3m3 of filtered seawater), for all diatoms. For each taxa, blank cells indicate not counted, values indicate abundance (according to standard CPR methodology, see Richardson et al. 2006, Prog in Oceanog 68. 27-74), zero values are absence of taxon. The excel file consists of samples in rows, with the following information in columns - A: sample id B:midpoint of sample latitude in decimal degrees C:midpoint of sample longitude in decimal degrees D:midpoint of sample local date and time E:sample year F: sample month G: Phytoplankton Colour Index H: Total Diatoms I onwards: taxa. Taxa numbers can be matched to names on taxa list tab.
