Target-enrichment next generation sequencing to detect genome-wide polymorphisms in flowering time and budbreak related genes of apple (Malus domestica)

The aim of this study is to generate gene sequences of flowering time and budbreak candidate genes across a core collection of 242 apple cultivars. This information is instrumental to perform a Genome Wide Association Study (GWAS) to identify genes involved in the control of dormancy cycle of apple.
