The impact of coral restoration activities on microbial community structure

We collected metagenomic samples from seawater and seabed substrate sediments in coral restoration areas and compared them with samples from natural coral reef areas and degraded fragmented coral reef areas. Through this comparative study, we aim to explore in depth how microbial communities in seawater and sediment undergo changes due to remediation activities, and whether these changes reflect a shift towards a healthier and more natural coral reef environment.
