Parameters of search signals in Pipistrellus pipistrellus emitted when flying towards the array at three edge habitat recording sites and in open space. For each sequence only the mean of the contained parameters were used for statistics to reduce pseudoreplication. In edge space recordings, only calls within a distance of 3–10 m from the array were analyzed, so as to exclude approach signals. n = number of calls used to calculate the corresponding mean.
