Public Binding Land-Use Plans Bavaria Metadata

This data set consists of the metadata of geo-referenced binding land-use plans (Bebauungspläne) from Bavaria, Germany. It consists of 35669 entries from 1934 to 2024. According to the definition in section 1(1) of the Federal Building Code, the task of urban land-use planning consists of determining whether parcels within the municipal territory are to be used for building or other uses. The local authority has the right to regulate the use of parcels for building or other purposes structural in the area of the plan through stipulations relating to aspects such as the type and density of built use, permissible lot coverage, height of physical structures and for access roads. Binding land-use plans consist of stipulations in graphic and text form. Each binding land-use plan must be accompanied by an explanation of the reasons for the most important stipulations.
