资源简介:
S1 - Level I Ozone Monitoring Network Data
The Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) conducted a major field research
campaign in Nashville/Middle Tennessee area in June and July 1994 and
1995. The goal of this study was to improve scientific understanding
of the processes that control the production and distribution of ozone
in the troposphere.
During the six-week 1995 Southern Oxidants Study (SOS)
Nashville/Middle Tennessee Ozone Study the Level I ozone monitoring
network provided for the daily assessment of surface ozone
concentrations from 116 regulatory (State and Local Air Monitoring
Stations [SLAMS] and National Air Monitoring Stations [NAMS]) and
research (SPM) monitoring stations across a 12 state region centering
on middle Tennessee. Noon hour ozone data were downloaded, processed,
and converted into a graphical map display used by study scientists to
plan aircraft measurement and surface monitoring activities. During
the study, these near real-time data were unvalidated. The data were
assembled from Aerometric Information Retrieval System (AIRS), Clean
Air Status and Trends Network (CASTNet), and TVA PSD and Level II
monitoring stations.
The study was conducted from June 21, 1995 through July 20, 1995.
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) was the coordinator for the 1995
