MetaPDOcheese 3: Metagenomic survey of the French PDO cheeses and milks

The dataset represents a national-scale metagenomic survey composed of 146 samples (n = 115 rind cheese, n = 22 core cheese and n = 9 milk samples) encompassing the 44 PDO cheeses present across France and belonging to 7 different cheese making technologies (hard cooked cheese, soft washed rind, uncooked pressed cheese/semihard cheese, lactic washed rind, lactic bloomy rind, internal blue mold and soft bloomy rind). The metagenomic DNA was sequenced using Illumina NovaSeq6000 (2x150 bp).
