Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT) has developed cassava genetic maps. Female and male maps were built using mapping population obtained from intraspecific cross between TMS 30572 and CM 2177-2. Maps were based on segregation of SSR, RFLP (genomic and cDNA probes) and RAPD markers. A second map using SSR markers and the same mapping population was developd to aid in mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL) controlling traits of agronomic interest.
