EU capabilities in conflict prevention and peacebuilding: Challenges, strengths and opportunities of a Whole-of-Society approach

The Research Report was produced as part of the project “Whole-of-Society Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding” (WOSCAP). It provides an overview of the research conducted in the framework of the WOSCAP project and draws conclusions on strengths, challenges and opportunities of EU capabilities in conflict prevention and peacebuilding. On the basis of the material presented, the report critically assesses EU capabilities to fund, to act and to coordinate / cooperate and discusses how EU capabilities can be enhanced by taking a Whole-of-Society approach. Most of the
text has been taken from or is based on the reports written by the authors of the studies in work packages 2, 3 and 4, which includes scoping papers (WP2), country reports and desk studies (WP3), and articles and papers (WP4).
