Discovery of plant viruses from jasmine transcriptome datasets

Identifictaiton and discovery of viruses using next-generation sequencing technology is a fast-developing area with wide application in virus diagnostics and monitoring. Metagenomic surveys have estimated that only a small fraction of virus species have been identified in nature. Here we report several kind of viruses identified from host jasmine transcriptome datasets and discuss the potential origination and classfication of those viruses.
