Barkley Canyon Tiltmeter Deployed 2018-06-22

The RBRconcerto Tilt Meter ACC.BPR 63056 was deployed on 2018-06-22 at Barkley Canyon. Barkley Canyon is a submarine canyon located on the continental shelf and slope break. Features include exposed gas hydrates and their associated ecosystems. Accumulation and movement of sediment, upwelling, and plankton blooms are studied in this area. This device is a Tiltmeter. A tiltmeter is a sensitive inclinometer designed to measure very small changes from the vertical level, either on the ground or in structures. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.

该设备为倾斜仪（Tiltmeter），是一种高灵敏度的倾角计，用于测量地面或工程构筑物相对于垂直基准面的极微小角度变化。本次部署的倾斜仪搭载于固定式平台之上。
本次部署获取的观测数据已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外共享；所有数据均遵循既定规范开展质量控制，并生成配套衍生数据产品。
