资源简介:
Pari Island, renowned for its diverse marine life, stands out as a leading marine ecotourism spot in the Seribu Islands. However, it faces significant threats from climate change and pollution. Despite its ecological importance, information on the microbiota communities in this region remains scarce. This research focuses on establishing a comprehensive database of bacterial communities within the water column of Ascidia sp. in their natural habitats, which can serve as bioindicators for marine biodiversity conservation on Pari Island. Genomic DNA was extracted using the ZymoBIOMICS DNA Kit, and shotgun metagenomic sequencing was conducted on the DNBseq-G50 platform. Bioinformatics tools were employed to analyze the sequencing data. The findings indicated that Proteobacteria was the most abundant phylum (75,5%), followed by Cyanobacteria (14,5%), with minor contributions from viruses, eukaryotes, archaea, and other organisms (10%). Proteobacteria dominated the microbiome, with metabolic functions playing a key role. This dataset offers crucial insights for preserving marine biodiversity amidst climate change and pollution challenges and marks the first documentation of microbial communities on Pari Island.
