13CO and potential variability in β Pictoris b with GRAVITY+

We present the first science observations of the updated VLTI/GRAVITY+ instrument at a resolution of 4000, as part of the GRAVITY+ GTO program ID 114.27JS (PI: Laura Kreidberg). These observations targeted beta Pic b, with a total of 38 observations throughout one night (~7 hrs). We present here both the reduced contrast spectra and the mean-averaged spectra and covariance matrices for two different telluric corrections. Our analysis consists of both retrievals with petitRADTRANS and self-consistent models with ExoREM to determine the 12CO/13CO ratio in the atmosphere of beta Pic b. Additionally, we analysed the contrast spectra taken over the whole night to determine the planet's variability amplitude and period. This repository is supplementary to the corresponding paper. Here we include the output files of all retrievals and ExoREM models, as well as Python notebooks to view these outputs. Additionally, we have included the files used for the cross-correlation and variability analysis presented in the paper. A README file is included, which describes the function of the files. There is one example notebook for how to view retrieval results named best_fit_retrieval_results.ipynb. This can also be used to view all other retrieval results. Note: file paths in notebooks may require adjustment to match local directory structures
