Evolution of Cascadia Subduction Zone Sciences: Qualitative Research Instrument and Planning Documents

This project explores how Cascadia Subduction Zone research has developed over the last 30 years in the United States and Canada through the perspective of hazard researchers who research this phenomenon. Interviewees were asked about their personal and professional histories, and the current state of research on the Cascadia Subduction Zone, including scientific uncertainties and unknowns. This project is part of a larger project that develops and evaluates new public communication tools for coastal resilience known as “geo-narratives.” To aid the larger project, interviewees were asked about scientific visualizations and datasets that could be included in the communication tools.
