Airborne Lidar Data from the 2023 Department of Defense Wildland Fire Science Initiative Eglin Air Force Base Campaign

This dataset contains airborne light detection and ranging (lidar) data across burn units G20, G25, and L25 in Eglin AFB, FL. Kucera International acquired airborne lidar on January 28, 2023 (before prescribed fire), and on April 26, 2023 (after prescribed fire); prescribed fires occurred from March 11 to 19, 2023. Lidar data were acquired to characterize pre- and post-fire vegetation and estimate fire-caused biomass consumption.This dataset is part of the Wildland Fire Science Initiative (WFSI) research burn campaign held at Eglin Air Force Base from 3-11-2023 to 3-19-2023. In addition, pre- and post-fire data collection occurred before and after these dates.
