Transcriptome sequencing of brassinosteroid mutant bes1-D in Arabidopsis thaliana

We found that bes1-D, a gain-of-function mutant of the BR-regulated transcriptional factor BES1 in Arabidopsis showed better salt tolerance than the wild-type plant (Col-0). Based on the phenotypes observed, we further performed transcriptome sequencing to explore how BES1 mediates plant salt stress responses. Six-day-old seedlings of bes1-D and Col-0 treated with 150 mM NaCl or normal 1/2 MS medium were collected at two time-points (2 days and 4 days), respectively. Three independent biological repeats were prepared for each time point and the total sample size is 24.
