Pauliceia 2.0: collaborative mapping of the history of São Paulo, 1870-1940

Abstract This article presents new approaches for investigating the past using digital technologies. “Pauliceia 2.0: collaborative mapping of the history of São Paulo (1870-1920)” is an open-source project intended to broadly engage with the public through collaborative methodologies. This text discusses the concept, current status, and prospects of this project, and presents it as a case study to discuss the relationship between digital technologies and historical methods. The product of this journey (at least the outcome intended by the authors and the other team members listed at the end of the article) is meant to assign new meaning to the project at the juncture between digital humanities, public history, and open science.摘要 本文提出了利用数字技术开展历史研究的全新路径。“保利塞亚2.0：圣保罗历史协同测绘（1870-1920）”是一项开源项目，旨在通过协同参与方法广泛吸引公众参与。本文探讨了该项目的核心理念、当前进展与未来展望，并以其为案例研究，剖析数字技术与历史研究方法之间的内在关联。本项目的最终产出（至少为本文作者及文末所列其他团队成员所预期的成果）旨在为数字人文、公共史学与开放科学交汇领域的相关实践赋予全新的学术内涵。
