The purpose of the dataset C. elegans terminal bulb aging is to deduce the age of the nemathode based on images of the pharynx terminal bulb (part of the eating apparatus). Images of C. elegans were taken at different chronological ages. This image is part of the day 2 data set. Note that the morphological and chronological ages are not fully correlated due to the variability among individuals even though the individuals are genetically identical. The source for the dataset is Laboratory of Genetics/NIA/NIH.本数据集为秀丽隐杆线虫（C. elegans）咽终端球衰老数据集，旨在基于线虫咽部终端球（进食器官的组成部分）的图像推定线虫的年龄。研究人员针对不同实际日龄的秀丽隐杆线虫采集了图像，该图像为第2天数据集的组成部分。需要注意的是，即便个体遗传背景完全一致，个体间仍存在表型差异，因此线虫的形态年龄与实际日龄并非完全相关。本数据集的来源为遗传学实验室/美国国家衰老研究所（National Institute on Aging, NIA）/美国国立卫生研究院（National Institutes of Health, NIH）。
