I considered data from the same male in different years to be independent. Please see Chapters 4 and 20 for methods for assigning paternities of prairie dog weanlings. These data used for Figure 13.13 in Hoogland 2026. This file ready for longterm storage on 28 Feb 2025. Standard errors were usually small, because my sample sizes for each age were large. In some cases, I have shown SEM = 0.35 for numbers of sexual partners, weanlings, or yearlings to show small SEMs that extend slightly beyond the circles— because showing slightly inflated SEMs is better than suggesting no variation at all, in my opinion. Note that these UPD data are summaries only--not the raw data. I have the raw data somewhere, but have not included them here. File name: Fig 13.13.
