Dew point sensors can be summarily described as devices whose electrical properties change in relation to water vapour pressure. Properties include capacitance, resistance and impedance, and these types form the majority of the water vapour sensors used in industry as they have moderate cost levels (approximately $1500 per sensor) and have developed over many years to suit industrial applications with industrialised mechanical features and signal output.
