Integrated analysis of transcript, protein and metabolite changes in Arabidopsis thaliana induced by simulated microgravity. Arabidopsis thaliana isolate:Col-0

The proposed project aims to detect early transcript and (phospho)protein responses in Arabidopsis thaliana roots in response to simulated microgravity (5 minutes -10 hours). In addition we will study changes in the Metabolome in response to brief and prolonged simulated microgravity (1 min to 24 h). The resulting data will provide a catalogue of genes, proteins and metabolites involved in gravity perception and signaling. Kinetic analysis and clustering of changes on all three levels will give us important insights into the biological mechanism plants use to adapt to microgravity.
