资源简介:
In previous studies Cordyceps militaris extract CME was found to have immune boosting effect on immunosuppressed mice and healthy men In this study we conducted in vivo mice experiments for investigation of CMEs effect on spleen health and gut microbiome composition of three groups, N or normal healthy mice, CYP or cyclophosphamide induced immunosuppressed mice and CYP-CME or CYP mice fed with CME 300 mg per kg CME displayed splenoprotective effect by alleviation of initial splenomegaly and prevention of spleen atrophy CME attenuated gut dysbiosis in immunocompromised mice as seen by the strong similarity between CME-CYP and N in terms of species richness species diversity microbial community structure Taxonomic analysis also confirms that CME repaired gut dysbiosis by modulation of gut microbiome composition to be more similar to N Linear discriminant analysis also indicates that CME promoted probiotic strain proliferation as demonstrated by the key phylotypes associated with CME such as Bacilli Lactobacillales Lactobacillaceae Lactobacillus sp, Verrucomicrobiota Verrucomicrobiae Verrucomicrobiales Akkermansiaceae Akkermansia sp and Eubacterium siraeum group. CME supplementation improved gut microbiome composition of immunocompromised mice by normalization of microbiome diversity and community structure and helped promote probiotic strain proliferation Thus CME can be considered as a good supplement for recovery and maintenance of gut microbiome health in immunocompromised patients
