Late Pliocene to Early and Middle Pleistocene Glyptodonts (Cingulata, Glyptodontidae) from Central Argentina shed light on their diversity, biostratigraphy and unexpected evolutionary implications

The main data involves some specimens of glyptodonts (Xenarthra) from Córdoba and Buenos Aires provinces. These specimens are located at several paleontological collections of Argentina and are available to be studied by anyone. The main hypothesis of this work is that the diversity of early and middle Pleistocene of southern South America is overrated.
