In this project, we used a high-throughput amplicon sequencing approach targeting the 16S rRNA and gyrB genes in order to characterize the bacterial communities and evaluate the relative abundance of Serratia in swabs collected from different sampling sites in positive and negative rooms during a NICU S. marcescens outbreak.
