Synoptic monthly gridded (0.25°) Japan/East Sea (temperature, salinity, current u, current v) fields from 1960-01 to 2013-12 from NOAA/NCEI WOD Profile Data (NCEI Accession 0157703)

The synoptic monthly gridded Japan/East Sea dataset (SMG-JES) provides 3D gridded (temperature, salinity) and absolute geostrophic velocity (current u, current v) data in monthly increment from WOD profiles using the Optimal Spectral Decomposition (OSD) and the P Vector methods. The SMG-JES data has 0.25 degree horizontal resolution and the same 57 vertical levels as the WOA2009 (temperature, salinity) fields.
