Data on public preferences for the location, appearance, and perceived benefits and costs of restoring meadows in urban green infrastructure across the Helsinki capital region, Finland

This dataset includes the contents and pseudonymized outputs of a public participation GIS -survey (n = 5 723) distributed among the adult population of the Helsinki capital region (cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen) in 2.-26.4.2024. The survey and related research investigate where urban residents in the survey target region would like to restore or establish meadows, what benefits or costs do they associate with meadows, and which methods would they prefer for this to be accomplished with. Certain socio-economic descriptives related to respondent background and green space use are included in the survey outputs as well, but are included here only as metadata due to data protection measures. The survey is a part of joint research activities shared between University of Copenhagen (KU), University of Helsinki (UH), Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and HAMK University of Applied Sciences.
