Barkley Canyon Mid-West Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler 150 kHz Deployed 2011-07-15

The RDI Workhorse Quartermaster ADCP 150 kHz (9455) was deployed on 2011-07-15 at Barkley Canyon Mid-West. Barkley Canyon Mid-West is a location in Barkley Canyon near a canyon wall. At this location, benthic processes, biodiversity, and sediment dynamics are observed. This device is a Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler 150 kHz. Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) are hydroacoustic instruments, similar to sonars. ADCPs measure current speed and direction at multiple predetermined depths simultaneously.
