Statue of a lion

This sculpture is head of one of the three lions discovered at the entrance to an early religious complex. The animal's snarling teeth may have been a warning to visitors about the power of the God who resides within the building. The head was discovered in the temple of the god Min at Koptos, Egypt and was created in the last Predynastic Period.本件雕塑为在一处早期宗教建筑群入口处发现的三头狮子雕像之一的狮头。这尊狮子呲露的獠牙，或许曾向访客警示着殿内神祇的无上神威。该狮头出土于埃及科普托斯的敏神（Min）神庙，创作于埃及前王朝末期。
