Each DMPC curve-point was normalized to absorbance at minute 0 at λ325nm. Quantification of lipoproteins was performed by scanning the lane density after imaging the entire gels, by using ImageJ software version 1.51 j8. Particle morphology was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) on a JEOL-1200 EX.
