A whalebone panel showing the Ascension. 12th century AD. The figure of Christ is shown rising into the sky with a dove on the right-hand side. Two angels are shown directly underneath Christ. On the bottom of the panel a group of disciples are shown with all of them looking upwards. One figure is standing pointing towards the figure of Christ.
