Translation (Rita Seng Mai) One day, while a big tiger was looking for his food because he was hungry, he was tired and took a rest. He met a snail while he was taking a rest. He thought to eat the snail. But the snail was quick to notice and said, "If you are going to eat me, take me to the Sunland's gate before you eat." The tiger somehow listened to the snail and took her there. When they arrived there, the tiger put her down at the gate. The snail said, "If you are going to eat me, regain your breath first. I am also tired. I am exhausted." Then the tiger was taking a rest because he was exhausted too. He gave his back to the snail while sitting down. As soon as the tiger was sitting, the snail slowly and gradually moved towards the gate. However, the gate was closed. She just hid herself between the rocks. When the tiger felt fresh and thought to eat the snail, he saw no one behind him. He looked for the snail and tried to take her out of the rocks by using his claws. But he couldn't. Then the tiger just retraced his steps and went back to his place. On his way back, he couldn't get anything to eat. Later, he found something really beautiful somewhere in the forest. He thought, "I haven't eaten anything yet and I am so hungry. I will just eat it!" And he started eating it. Since then, there has been a saying that when the tiger is hungry, it might eat soil. Meanwhile, the snail met Ja Nyi and Ja Nga at the Sun Land's gate. The siblings asked her, "How did you come here?" She answered, "I am from Dinghta Wa Yang place." (Dinghta Wa Yang is Earth.) They asked her, "Can you help us then?" The snail asked them, "How can I help you?" They said, "We would like to go to the earth too." But there was the flat rock blocking the gate. Ja Nyi and Ja Nga said, "You are our next generation. You must help us." The snail had no choice and tried to help them getting into the earth. Then she started pushing the rock with the help of her slime. Finally, the rock was removed. Unfortunately, Ja Nyi was pressed down by the rock and died. Ja Nga could reach the earth. Ja Nga lived there for a long time and died. The tiger had to eat the soil when he was hungry too. When the tiger couldn't catch any prey or was hungry, he had to eat soil.
